Tell the readers a little about yourself. Why did you decide to be a part of
Shades of Desire with your fellow authors?
SoD Author Diane: Thank you so
much for hosting me! I've been writing hot contemporary romance for several
years now. My first three novels were traditionally published by Kensington Publishing.
From there I went to digital-first publisher Lyrical Press, and last year I
decided to try my hand at self-publishing. It's been an exciting journey with
lots of twists and turns in an ever-changing environment. Multi-author box sets
are very popular right now. I came across an opportunity to be a part of an
exciting new collection. Of course, I jumped all over it! It's an amazing way
to collaborate with my peers as well as introduce my work to new readers. Plus,
I've learned so much from an incredible group of women!
SASSE:
How did you come up with this story? What is your story about?
SoD Author Diane:
Love stories often leave us with an image of a beautiful couple riding off into
the sunset. I thought it would be fun to write about what happens after the happily ever. Still Hot for
You is about a woman who will do whatever it takes to win back the man she
loves. Here's a quick blurb:
Desperate
times call for desperate measures. And Shay LaCosta is pretty desperate. She's
wrecked her blissful marriage of five years by demanding she and her husband
Dylan have a baby. What the hell was she thinking? She knows she was wrong and

SASSE: Do you use celebrity inspiration for your
characters? If so, who inspired your hero and heroine?
SoD Author Diane: Character
inspiration can come from a celebrity, someone I know, a stranger on the street,
or a person I may have read about in the news. Often, I'll combine traits from
different people to create the ideal hero or heroine. The internet is a great
resource for locating images that closely resemble my characters. I'll be sharing
a few at the Facebook party!
SASSE:
Is your story in the boxset part of a series? If it is, where does it fall in
the line up?
SoD Author Diane: Still Hot for
You is Story One of a Latin Heat Trilogy. I had been wanting to feature a Latin
hero in a mainstream book because there aren't too many out there. The character
exceeded my expectations, so I figured, why not throw an equally sexy brother
and a cousin into the mix? The other two stories in the trilogy are The Right
Temptation and Playing With Destiny. Each novella is a stand-alone, and all
three feature hunky men, sizzling sex, and happy endings!
SASSE:
For fun, tell the readers and interesting factoid about you?
SoD Author Diane: I have a quiet, reserved persona, but underneath is a silly girl who loves to crack jokes and make people laugh. I find humor in just about anything, even things that shouldn't be funny. The harder I try to be serious, the worse it is.
