About Me

My photo
I love romance and writing it is one of my greatest pleasures. Along with writing romance, I love sitting back and talking with authors that love romance just as much as I do. Since I've been reading romance since I was sixteen years old I am a book lover that still reads lots of books in a month. So, weekly I will also post my book picks. They may be picks that are new releases or maybe a favorite book of mine. On this blog you will see books featured by ALL romance genres.

My Writing Process...

Thank you Aliyah Burke for helping me get the word out about my new book and current work in progress. I believe that author to author support is the most important in this business only second to providing great stories to dedicated readers.

This has been a hectic year for me in 2014, personally with too many friends fighting cancer and too many losing that fight. However, my writing has been a solace to me. Presently, I am working on a few things at once, which is generally my issue with having things come out longer in between session. I can’t help it. So many people keep talking to me. LOL. At the moment I have a bear, a werewolf and a full-figured beauty standing in lingerie before her hero just asking for the most attention. Am I nuts…yup.

However, I think that is one thing that makes my writing different from other authors. I can divide my passion for each of these characters because I see them as my readers. Different readers need different things from my books, not just the sensuality and romance, but someone telling their story. Sounds a little crazy since I write shifters, but even in that there is someone’s story. Some reader that has pulled me aside and told me about the love they have for their spouse or what the hope will be their partner one day.

Readers are why I write what I do. Now, the wild imagination is all my muse, SHE, but the heart of the story I’m always looking for the true meaning of love and commitment. Having some man see the real woman in us all that is behind the tough, or shy or flamboyant personality and falling in love with that inner woman. I write shifters or Doms because I love strong bold men just like my readers. I have a soft spot for geeks and friends that become partners. Maybe because of my own relationship with my spouse.

I have the craziest writing process. I don’t sleep more than about 4-5 hours a night. So, when I can’t sleep I get up and writing. Even though I am a full time writing at home, it can amaze me how much I have to do in the day that comes up, so I take my laptop with me to car appointments and doctor visits just to get in my word count. I also watch a lot of love moves to keep myself in the right frame of mind or listen to music that inspires me.

Bring this around full circle in thanks for Aliyah hosting me on her blog, I would love to pay it forward and tell readers about three other outstanding authors:

Di Topaz: I am Di Topaz an author of Sensual Romance. I was born and raised in rural Southern Virginia, so yes you can say I’m a country girl at heart. http://ditopaz.com/

Latrivia Nelson: As an established author with five books that have become bestsellers, Nelson now creates romantic stories that center around interracial relationships. http://www.latrivianelson.info/

Erosa Knowles: Romance makes the world go around. I cannot imagine a life without it. As a writer I endeavor to bring some happiness to both my characters and my readers.  http://www.erosaknowles.net/
